Lodge Events:

BBQ's in the Park - is a team effort from all Elks to help with the Tuesday Evening at the Atascadero Lake Park that the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce sponsors during the summer months.  To give you an idea of what we prepared and served on those 11 Tuesday's and we could have not done it without you all.  Approximately 5,009 people were served, cooked 3,200 chicken halves, cooked 1600 lbs. of top block beef, 400 cans of beans and 500 loaves of bread.  So, there you go, it's a big job and we need you next year!

Colony Days - is a community tradition with a parade and crafts.  The Elks enjoy being part of this celebration.  Joe's "Little Train" is a treat for the little kids during the parade and at the Sunken Gardens.

Dinner for Two - is consider the next biggest fund raiser for the Lodge.  We all have a blast on this night!  You have a chance to win $3,000, bid at a Silent Auction and a chance to win the Wagon Raffle with wine and goodies. This event is usually sold out and over 180 people attend.

Drug Awareness - is sponsored by the Elks during their annual essay contest in the Atascadero School District.  Each year there is a theme and the essay is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  Poster contest is grades 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Elks Scholarships - The Elks National Foundation awards $3,300,000 annually in scholarships rivaling the amount given by the Federal Government.  These are the Legacy, Most Valuable Student and Emergency Education Fund Grants.  There are many scholarships and currently the Lodge awards two $1,500 Cuesta College Scholarships annually, to one boy and one girl graduating from Atascadero High School.  For more information on the different scholarships visit: http://www.elks.org/enf/scholars/ourscholarships.cfm.

Hoop Shoot - is held during December at the Colony Park Community Center. This is a popular event with boy and girls in three age divisions.  The first place winners will advance to the Elks West Central Coast District Hoop Shoot, with winners moving up to the State Shoot and the opportunity to move up to the Regional Shoot then compete for the National Championship.

Joe's Little Train - is a fund raiser and our way of letting the community know that the Elks Care and Elks Share.  The "Little Train" has been on many adventures trips such as: K-9 Day at the Park, Colony Days, Children's Day, and many other community events in Atascadero.

Elks Memorial - The first Sunday in December, a special ceremony recognizes our departed members.

Mother's Day Brunch - is in May.  It's held at the Lodge building and free to all Mothers.

Soccer Shoot - is held annually at the Paloma Creek Park field during September.  This is a popular event for boys and girls in four age divisions.  The first place winners will advance to the Elks West Central Coast District Soccer Shoot in October, with winners moving up to the State Shoot and the opportunity to move up to the Regional Shoot then compete for the National Championship.

Veterans Recognition - hosts the North County Veterans with a dinner in November.  There is a special recognition to the oldest veteran from each branch of the service attending the program.
